Small business Cyber Security

Small businesses are increasingly being targeted by cyber criminals. While some of these attacks are directly targeted many of the most common attacks can be stopped by following basic security recommendations. The UK government set up the Cyber Essentials program around these basic principles and we recommend our customers follow these recommendations whether they apply for certification.

User Security

User targeted attacks are one of the main attacks used to target small businesses. This can be through phishing emails, social engineering and email delivered ransomware or malware. According to the 2020 Government Cyber Security Breaches survey 86% of UK businesses had been targeted by a phishing attack a rise from 72% over the previous 12 months.

Our monthly user security service provides tools to increase user security awareness and detect if your user’s details have been added to a data breach. As part of this service, we also provide quarterly phishing testing to see how well your users would perform against a real threat.
